Qualifications

        Craig Schroll provides a wide range of experience in improving the effectiveness of clients’ loss prevention and control results.  He has been actively involved in loss prevention and control since 1972.  Craig is the primary provider of all FIRECON services.

        He has designed, developed, and presented a wide variety of training programs.  Training has been conducted for groups from most industry types, public safety agencies, and many others.  Craig has helped improve the performance of over 15,000 students during the presentation of over 150,000 student contact hours of training.

        Prior to starting FIRECON Craig served in a variety of capacities.  He was an instructor for a state fire academy, where he worked with industry and the fire service.  As operations chief of a hazardous materials response team he developed policies and procedures, planned and conducted training, selected equipment, prepared emergency response plans, and commanded the response at hazardous materials incidents.  Craig was a fire protection specialist in the U. S. Air Force where he served in both the response and technical services areas.  He has held numerous positions in the volunteer fire service.

        Craig is a Certified Safety Professional, Certified Utility Safety Administrator, Certified Environmental Trainer, and Certified Hazard Control Manager.  He is an active member of the following groups:

        He has a bachelor’s degree in fire science management from Troy State University where he graduated with honors and an associate’s degree in fire science technology from the Community College of the Air Force.

        His articles have been published in many trade journals including; Safety & Health, Occupational Hazards, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Fire Chief, Industrial Fire Safety, Compliance Magazine, Industrial Safety & Hygiene News, Industrial Fire World, Fire Engineering, Haz Mat World, Fire Command, Fire Chief, Safety and Protective Fabrics, Facility Care, HazChem, Pennsylvania Fireman, Rekindle, Communications-Link, Instruct-O-Gram, and Boardroom Reports.

        He has written a book for CRC Press titled "Industrial Fire Protection Handbook".
